Keyboard removal R50e

I have tried to remove my keyboard (R50e - 15" monitor) following the instructions on the Lenovo support pages and the PDF manual, but it wont budge.  I press (hard!) between the F8-F9 keys and nothing happens. Can anyone help, please?

Re: Keyboard removal R50e

Hi Friend, thanks for your reply.

I already saw that movie - and have followed the instructions very carefully, but step 7 is where I get stuck. The keyboard simply doesn't pop up when I press between the F keys.

Any ideas, please?

Re: Keyboard removal R50e

Got it - thanks.

I realise now what was wrong. I was just pressing downwards, what was needed was to hook my thumbnail under the ridge behind the 7+8 keys and push away from me, towards the back of the laptop.

(Only three screws needed to be removed as it is a 15" screen model.)

Many thanks again for taking the time to help.

Roland
