L340 does not detect headphones

Hi everyone

I bought the L340 laptop today but I can not use any headphones on it. I have tried 3 or 4 different headphones but windows does not detect any of them. I have tried updating my sound drives, uninstalling and reinstalling them but nothing seem to work.

I only have this issue with the 3.5mm jack though, I have no trouble using a USB headset.

I don't know if this is relevant but the headphone jack doesn't plug all the way although the part that is left out is so small.

Firstly you should check your system specification that 3.5mm jack is supported on your system or not. If not supported then you should go to your service center and get changed or fix it.

I checked and it does support 3.5mm jack. I doubt that it's a hardware issue because I bought 2 of the same laptop and both have this issue.

Ok so it turns out I hadn't completely plugged in the headphones (yes I am an idiot) but I had to basically shove the jack in and it feels VERY tight when it's plugged in. It just doesn't feel right...
