L380 battery charging thresholds issue

2019-07-07, 17:01 PM

A few weeks ago, I set my battery thresholds to 75% -80% in order to increase my battery life. I was running Windows 10. I forgot about it.

As I needed it for my work, I installed Ubuntu 18.04 on my laptop (L390 Yoga). However, I did the mistake to completely get rid of Windows.

Now I have Linux only (Ubuntu). I installed TLP in order to try to change the battery thresholds but it doesn't have any effect. Thresholds stay the same.

Did anyone have the same issue and found a solution?

Hi Nicobal! Welcome to our forums community. Base form the tested Lenovo devices for Linux, the compatible version is Ubuntu 16.04 on your machine and you can refer to this link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/pd031426.

Hope that helps.
