L390 pen slot plugged

Hi,

so I bought a ThinkPad L390 yoga that didn't come with an active pen... but said it had a pen slot, so I bought a pen along with it. Thing is, there is a plug in the slot (see photo) that I cannot remove by even quite strong pushing and pulling (unwilling to resort to more drastic measures, for obvious reasons). Is it possible at all to use the slot?

Any help would be much appreciated.

The question also came in the german community. If the device was delivered without Active Pen, this can not be retrofitted by the user. The manual states that retrofitting in the form of an FRU is not intended.

So, sorry, one more question. Would an ActivePen holder make it work? I cannot seem to find one for this specific pen, though, but... the laptop has pen functions installed, the pen is sold separately, surely all this makes no sense if there is no way to make it work with a pen.

My L390 Yoga came without pen too (the pen slot is plugged). You can buy Lenovo Active Pen2 or third-party pen which supports Wacom AES. I bought the Bamboo Ink and it works. You just have to ensure that your Yoga has Windows Ink support.
