L412 - All processes open in individual windows

[ Edited ]

We have had this happen a few times on an L412 and once on an Edge 15 Thinkpad.  Out of the blue, a bunch of windows will open and it appears that each window represents a process.

Details: XP SP3

L412 (4403-32U)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: L412 - All processes open in individual windows

All I can say is: lolwut.

It looks like Windows is fumbling and mistakenly assigning a window to every process... which it shouldn't really be doing.

Try running SFC /SCANNOW from a command prompt. Maybe it's a conflict with your security software?
