L420 Recovery Partition Deleted

2011-07-18, 23:31 PM

Today on my L420 I was looking in My Computer and noticed that the Recovery Partition which was drive G? was gone. I went to disk management and looked in diskpart and both confirmed it deleted.... Is there any way I can restore it without ordering a recovery disk? If I have to order a disk from Lenovo, then who should I call? This is under warranty by the way

Edit: I just found built in Windows 7 Backups... As long as I have 10gb free from the deleted partition, I decided to add a new ntfs volume where Thinkvantage recovery was... Will Windows 7 backup function as well as Thinkvantage did in the exact same circumstances?

The ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery partition held the original factory default image.

If the 10GB where the deleted partition wasn't reoccupied, then a partition recovery tool could have easily recovered the partition.
