L540 missing WiFi/BT after wakeup from sleep

Hello,

 

I'm using L540 running Windows 8.1 64 bit. After waking up from sleep, my Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 does not work. OS detects the network adapter, but device manager displays the exclamation mark. Automatic problem resolution does not work. There are two ways to remedy the problem - shutdown and reboot PC, or Uninstall/Install device using device manager. All the drivers/firmware is up to date.

 

Do you have any idea what to do?

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

 

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with Wifi not working after wake up from sleep mode on your ThinkPad L540.

 

Please check is the (Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power) is checked, to proceed with steps you have to go Device manager expand network adapter and right click on Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 go to properties, click on power management and change the setting.

 

Can you please provide us the driver version of (R) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260.

 

Please let us know the findings once you have performed the above steps.

I replied by email, but unfortunately the answer didn't got to this board. Your instructions where helpful. I did exactly what you told me, and now my L540 works properly.
