Hi,
I have some L560 Laptop (ThinkPad), Machine Type 20F2S1L700.
I have to install Windows 10 x64 Ent., as I cannot use the original OS installation. After full update with Lenovo system update, there is still an unknown device in Device Manager.
Device description : BcmI2CBus_257
Hardware Ids: BCMNFCIC\NFC_PROVIDER
I tried to manually install Broadcom NFC Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) offered for other Lenovo models (such as Broadcom NFC Driver for Windows 10 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad T440, T440p, T440s). The device appears as recognized in Device manager as NFC Proximity Provider, but then the System log gets obsessed by warning events generated every 5 seconds:
"BcmNfcIc driver has failed initializing NFC device."
Could you please help me finding the correct driver installation package.

Viliana,
Broadcom devices were not included as an option for L560 ThinkPads, confirmed by a list of available configurations on Lenovo’s PSREF site: http://psref.lenovo.com/Product/ThinkPad_L560?search=true As a result, no Broadcom driver would be made available, only drivers released by Intel.
However, I also noted that the model number you provided is not listed. Was this system one of a larger purchase?
Also, would you mind providing a screenshot of Device Manager, showing the connection device?
Thank you,

Greetings,
Yes, this machine is part of a larger purchase. I guess our supplier provides us with custom models, but this is the first time we have trouble finding the correct dirvers.
I'm still waiting a not formatted machine to be delivered in order to check how the device looks like with the built-in OS. You can find attached a screenshot of Device manager.
Thank you for your time and cooperation,
Viliana

Viliana,
In Device Manager, could you please change the view from “Device by type” to “Device by connection” at “View” menu and post another screenshot?
Thank you,

Hi,
Attached you can find the requested device manager view.
I applogize for the delay, and hope we can still get support for our issue.
