Lenovo Thinkpad L460 (without OS): Boot Menu keeps re-appearing, does not proceed

Hi,

I just bought an L460 Thinkpad (14", 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SDD, core i5 6200U) without an OS, under a certain scheme for students and academics.

I'm trying to install a Linux distro via USB. However, after pressing F12 and entering the Boot Menu, when I select USB HDD and press Enter, the Boot Menu prompt reappears. Making a selection here does not seem to have any effect, and thus I'm unable to boot from USB. Startup settings in BIOS: Legacy Only, CSM [Yes].

Would be grateful if someone could give some pointers as to how to proceed.

Thanks,

[Resolved] The problem was with my USB stick's .iso file.
