Machine cannot switch into Maximum Performance Mode - L512

I have a two-month old L512 that slows to a crawl when charging. I tried to switch into maximum performance mode (by opening the power manager and clicking on the maximum service mode and increasing the performance slider to the maximum possible), but it does not seem to work.

I'm really frustrated because I'm far from a computer n00b, but I'm unable to make this work. I've run updates to the system. That did not work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Roy

Re: Machine cannot switch into Maximum Performance Mode - L512

Are you using the charger that came with the system?  Or some other charger for another system?

is the battery in a good condition? also when the battery is fully charged, does the machine still slow down?

The batttery is in good condition and the machine appears to slow down when it is charging. When fully charged (and before I take the power cord out), it usually does not slow down.

your problem maybe resolved using a 90 watt adapter.
