NETWORK PROBLEM

Heya,Good afternoon people

I purchased a lenovo thinkpad sl500 last weeK.Whenever i try to connect
internet(through LAN),the lan light turn green when i start a laptop but

the instant it comes to operating mode(when operating system start)

lan's green light turn off.Though i check ping test and no connectivity is shown

Plz tell me what shoud i do.

Check if local network connection is not disabled in windows. What says ipconfig /all typed in cmd?
