Problem with keyboard Lenovo (NOT IBM) R60 , and doesn't exist?

2013-10-12, 12:09 PM

I brought this old thinkpad r60 41w4748 JS for 50 pound it came with windows xp , so after reinstalling it ive came across a annoying problem , the keyboard keys arnt set up properly, on my this laptop its a normal keyboard set up not the special IBM where shift + 2 is the @ symbol , ive tried the drivers on the site but i dont know, ive tried googleing the laptop its self but all i get is IBM versions when i have a lenovo version from 2005/6 (going from the copyright on the bottom) any help actually identifying the laptop is let alone the keyboard problem,. (if its any help its not a r60e since it has a docking port on the bottom of the laptop)

Welcome to the forum!

You're looking at US English layout where you're expecting a UK English one.

You can go into Control Panel>Region & Language and add UK English layout, then set it up as a default.

Cheers,

George
