My name is Maurice, I am new to the group.
A little more than a year ago I purchased my R60. I use it intensely for small business work. It is sitting on a docking station and serves as my main computer.
When I carry it with me, I put it into Stand By mode when I don't use it. About a week ago it did not react when I wanted to revive it from Stand By mode. The ventilator turned on, the DVD device was searched, but the hard disk was not, and nothing happened. The same happened after I turned the machine off (by prolongued holding of the On/Off button).
A computer savvy friend suggested I enter the BIOS by pressing F2 repeatedly after pressing the On button. When I did that, the machine started normally. This has been the case for a few days, i.e. it does not start when I press the On button, unless I press the F2 key at the same time.
What could be the problem.
(My wireless settings also changed a couple of days ago, without my interference).
