I want to upgrade my ram from 2x2 gb of ram (total 4gb) to 2x4 gb of ram (total 8gb ram)
My question is, would this be the correct purchase?
Also, I want to perform more upgrades to this laptop but am unsure on what to do next. I was thinking of removing the optical drive and putting in an SSD. Would this be a good move? If so how much is too much gb for an SSD? I am looking to speed up my laptop a lot. Would it be worthwhile to also upgrade my current hard drive to an SSD in order to have two SSD's or does that not make a difference? I am ametuer in computers so please be patient with me.
I also want to know if it is possible to upgrade my processor. I have a i3 processor that I want to upgrade to an i7, is this possible? What would happen if I put too much power into the computer?
Thank you all for your time, have a great day!

Hi wcs251! Welcome to our forums community. The laptop can upgrade to a maximum of 8 GB of RAM. Base on the specs of the RAM, it seems to be compatible but we can't guarantee that it will be detected. We suggest you to stay with wattage that came along with your computer. Usually a higher wattage is required when upgrading the parts like the graphics card. The rest of your questions can be answered if we have the machine type model or MTM. However you can check it yourself from the links provided below.
