We have a new R400 Thinkpad. The user complains that the microphone is always on, and therefore when he listens to a webcast, he gets feedback...that the microphone is picking up the sound from the speakers and is resounding it. When he uses Skype, or similar communication tool, the system appears to function adequately, but the microphone should be on at this point. Should the microphone always be active? Is there a user-friendly way to activate it-deactivate it?
