R51 type 1836 touchpad extreamly sensitive

I just aquired an R51 thinkpad that sems to like to click and highlight things on its own, I looked for the adjustments and found ultranav was missing so I downloaded it and followed instal instructions but it didn't install the drivers so it still doesn't  adjust the thing for me. Ultreanav shows up in add remove programs but nowhere else. I go to the folder it opened to and click on it and it tells me the driver is not installed. How do I make it sit and stay (INSTAL DRIVERS)?
