R51 will not boot.

I have a R51 which I purchased new about 18 months ago. It has worked perfectly up to today. When I switched on I got a message saying "disk read error - press Ctl>Alt>Del to reboot. This did not help as I kept getting the same message..

I have tried the idea of removing the battery etc and pressing the On button for ten times for ten seconds with the last at 30 seconds. This made no difference.

I would really appreciate some help on this problem.

Re: R51 will not boot.

Nothing has been changed. I cannot access bios - all I can get is the message I referred to in my original post. I am unable to go anywhere from that.
