R60e cpu upgrade

2010-06-03, 7:37 AM

Hello

I have a R60e with cpu Celeron M 530 (socket M) chipset 945GM.

I have tried to mount a Intel core 2 duo T5500 socket M, but when i turn on the pc i get a black screen and I can only turn off the thinkpad. Also the bios don't give out any sound :(

What I can try to do?

Sorry for my poor english :-D

I think it is because the motherboard does not support 64 bit  Architecture only 32 bit  the T2300 (1.66GHz), will work
