My son's R61e notebook does not get to the start-up screen. He just gets a screen with his background picture (a volcano blowing its top, fittingly enough) on it. (No icons, etc.) When we hit F1 and ran a diagnostic on it, it gave us the message "Read verification failed. Error 0000." Is there something we can do to fix this, or will we have to bring it in for service somewhere? Thanks for any help you can give--

If the machine is still under warranty, give Lenovo a call. I believe that your hard drive is failing.
