I have been using this machine for less than a week, and it preforms perfectly in every sense.
However looking in the event viewer I can see several ERROR messages (one per day) saying:
EVENT 13, ACPI
:The embedded controller (EC) did not respond within the specified timeout period. This may indicate that there is an error in the EC hardware or firmware or that the BIOS is accessing the EC incorrectly. You should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS. In some situations, this error may cause the computer to function incorrectly.
I rarely turn the machine off, almost always Hibernate it, but once every other day i restart it, just in case
The machine is: SL-410, Type: 2842-44Y
The os is: Windows 7 64 Bit professional.
I did a clean install before initial usage, and installed all the drivers downloaded from the webpage.
Again the machine works perfectly, just worry that something can go wrong, because that message, thats all.
thank you for your time.

I suggest updating the BIOS (if there is a latest version available than the one you have on your thinkpad), and power management driver:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-73445.html
Hope it helps.
