SL400 Battery Status never reaches 100%

Hi,

I just recieved a new SL400 Thinkpad. Everything seems to work OK, except that I noticed that the battery meter never goes beyond 98% after being connected to the power adapter for the last few days. Is this something I need to worry about? How can I get my Laptop to reach the maximum 100%(Full Charge)?

Re: SL400 Battery Status never reaches 100%

Chinaboy, welcome to the forum,

have you disconnected your SL400 from power when the battery was 98% charged?

As default the energy manager, the green battery in the task bar, has the setting not to charge the battery when it has 96% or more. You can change / reduce this if you wish to.

If you run on battery untill it shows 94/5% and then attach power, it should then charge all the way.

edit: Typo

Thanks Andy,

Letting the notebook drain a bit and recharging did the trick.  Thanks
