I recently ran the Lenovo updates and installed that latest version of Access Connections ver 5.61. Since then I have had a problem with my wireless either not starting on boot, or turning itself off every 5 minutes or so.
To restart WiFi I need to run Windows Troubleshooting. It tells me the wireless is turned off and ask if I want to turn it on, I hit yes and it turns it on and then 5 minutes later it turns off again.
The only way to clear the problem seems to be to re-boot the notebook several times and it seems to start correctly about 1 in 5 re-boots.
This problem seems to occur on my work network (Netgear WNR3500 v2) but have not noticed it being a problem on my home (Siemens) WAN.
I do not want to reinstall windows which seems not helping the issue at all.
You may want to try the two suggestions below.
Press the Windows button which is in between the Ctrl and Alt keys at the same time as the X key
'Windows Mobility Centre' will appear
Press "Turn Wireless On" far right at the top if it is not already turned on
Lenovo ThinkVantage Tools
Double click Internet Connection
Go to Options tab
Uncheck the box that says "Allow thewireless LAN radio to be turned off when inactive"
