I'm trying to gather some information if I can find a compatible Full HD screen for my ThinkPad L460.

My product number: 20FUCTO1WW

Welcome to the forum!

Page 3 of this document (click me!) shows different options, depending if you currently have a touch or non touch model.

Thank you for the replay.

You've provided link to T460 series but I've change "T" to "L" in the link and I got information for L460. :)

Link:

https://download.lenovo.com/parts/ThinkPad/l460_frubom_20160119.pdf

I have N/touch panel and I'd be more then happy with Full HD IPS panel.

I'm down to 3 parts. Is the third one touch panel ? Can you help out with the symbols - INX, SDC, LGD and AG ?

1. 00PA889  14.0 INX, FHD,IPS,N/touch,AG,slim

2. 00PA890 14.0 SDC,FHD,IPS,N/touch,AG,slim

3. 01AV853  14.0 LGD,FHD,IPS,AG,slim

I've read some topics on panel replacement and I'm wondering if I can embed "slim" version into my model and if I'm gonna need some additional parte and where to get them from. I've found the first two panels on screencountry website and don't know what's the diffrence between them.

Thank you in advance.

I apologize for the typo! :smileysad:

To be on the safe side I would stick to the first two panels from your list, unfortunately I'm not very familiar with all those abbreviations, I guess the first one is the manufacturer (INX could be Innolux, SDC could be Samsung? LGC LG-Philips?)

IPS is the display technology, AG I guess means "Anti Glare"

Regarding sourcing parts, I guess your L460 has still warranty, right? I would contact Lenovo directly to ask if they can do the swap.

Hello,

How did it go?

I have purchased a 01AV853 panel to upgrade my HD panel to this FHD one. Did it work?

Have you had to remove the full screen area in order to be able to remove the panel?

In the hardware maintenance manual says, in its page 97: "2010 LCD-bezel sheet" that you must first remove the whole screen portion of the laptop, as shown in "1140 LCD unit" in the manual.

Thanks

Alex
