Re: Touchpad sensitivity

I don't have your lenovo model, but maybe you can try updating the mouse driver of your machine first:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?DocID=HT072744

I'm not sure if your machine uses "Elan TouchPad" or "Synaptics Touchapd".

Re: Touchpad sensitivity

Many thanks!  A friend helped me download a Synaptics driver and we were able to resolve the problem.  We also customized several track pad features to make it more user-friendly for me.  It's like having a whole new computer!

Re: Touchpad sensitivity

THANK YOU BIG TIME. I have been about to lose my mind with the overly-sensitive touchpad.  With your suggestion as a start point, I went to my hidden icons and found "ELAN pointing device."  This allowed to make the adjustments I needed.

Re: Touchpad sensitivity

I have a lanova Yoga 13 ideapad ultrabook running Windows 8. My touchpad was too sensative.
I adjusted it as follows (after some searching around):

1. Open the Control panel, and search for/open Mouse

2. Select "Change mouse settings"

3. Open the Device settings tab, then the Settings button below
You will have the "Properties for Synaptics Clickpad V8.1 on PS/2 Port" dialogue box.

4. Expand the pointing and then sensitivity sections on the left.

5. you will find:

           Touch Sensitivity
           Palm Check

           Adjust as necessary.

Hope this helps. It would have helped saved me some time had it been available 8^)

Hi,

Am using Lenovo E430 think pad edge series. Am also suffering from the same problem (Mouse Jump) and tried all the options that are given in the threads but could not find a solution.

- Disable button is not active in Control Panel --> mouse settings

- There is no UltraNav tab in control panel--> mouse settings.

Please help. my mail id is: venkateshkalai@gmail.com

Re: Touchpad sensitivity

Hi VenkateshKalai

Are you running Windows 7 or 8?

Try to get the latest Ultranav driver for your model.

support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&DocID=HT073272

Of check the support page with your laptop part number on the quick path (http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/)

Install the drivers, reboot and it is possible you will see the unltranav options on the mouse settings on Windows.

Regards

Martin
