Two devices not working.... help

I just wiped my system and upgraded to Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

Now there are two 'Other devices' that won't register. I've run windows update, and tried to refresh the drivers, but still nothing.

The first one is ACPI\LEN0014 and is located on the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control

The second one is  HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_14F1DEV_5051&SUBSYS_17AA2123 and is located on Location 0 (Internal High Definition Audio Bus)

I have tried downloading every 64-bit Audio and Power control driver from the Lenovo site, but they are still not working.

I am running a SL500 with Dual core 2Ghz, Intel graphics.

Any ideas?

Re: Two devices not working.... help

Update... I managed to fix the ACPI thing.... it found a working driver when I broadened the search to be more inclusive into the SWTOOLS Folder...

That didn't work for the HD Audio driver though.

Re: Two devices not working.... help

That should be the modem. You need to install its respective driver.

Re: Two devices not working.... help

Hi all,

I posted my problem here because i think i have similar problem, only different device (i think).

I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate in my SL400, I have installed all the drivers for Windows 7 from the Lenovo Drivers website.

Drivers installation running fine, but after I finished installing all the drivers then I checked my Device Manager I got 2 unknown (other) device (both with the name "Base System Device); The 1st is located in "PCI bus 13, device 0, function 3" and the other is in "PCI bus 13, device 0, function 2".

Any Idea what hardware drivers I haven't installed that the Device Manager not yet detected ?

As far as I notice, all the hardwares are working fine.

Thank you very much for the attention and help.

Re: Two devices not working.... help

I've got exactly the same two bad devices (pci 2 and 3) only under Windows 7 Home Premium. Everything seems to be working normally, but neither Thinkvantage 4 nor Microsoft update produces the drivers.

Re: Two devices not working.... help

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 too, and I also had the same problem as the last two people stated. One of the devices was solved by installing the Thinkpad service tool... the one that updates drivers. I don't remember what the device was that needed fixing though. The other one... the most stubborn one, turned out to be the Ricoh Card Reader (or something like that). I downloaded the Vista driver for it from the lenovo website and that fixed the problem.
