Re: UEFI BIOS update 1.33 > 1.35 bricked my L460

I've contacted lenovo on twitter two days ago, which seems to be one of the reasons they finally started investigation of the issue. https://twitter.com/dshuffin/status/1085955089636970496

I'd recommend opening support request to Lenovo, even if your device is out of warranty so that they have more statistics on the issue.

There is a page where you can find a lenovo support phone number for your  country, in case nobody replies to your support request created online. https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/supportphonelist

Nice to read this. We keep waiting for a prompt solution, including all of us whose warranty is expired.

Great work Lenovo!! First caused damage to the notebooks and then send invoices for the repair! Surely you will also be proud of your service.

Well, if someone has an interest in the matter. After persecuting the Lenovo Support, they insist on a billed repair. Conclusion: LENOVO, NEVER EVER.

Re: UEFI BIOS update 1.33 > 1.35 bricked my L460

I just received my repaired computer. The repair was for Lenovo's account. One might think that everything has gone great, because the problem is solved. However, I would not describe my mood as very happy. Taking into account all the time lost in claims (calls, messages), and finally a whole month without being able to use my computer. It took Lenovo a long time to acknowledge his guilt. Yes I can say that once that recognition was achieved the repair service was super fast and efficient. Any case, thanks, especially to Andy_Lenovo, whose help from this forum has been essential.
