Re: UEFI BIOS update 1.33 > 1.35 bricked my L460

3 weeks ago I have been asked by lenovo forum admin to create another service request to Lenovo support. So far the case is in open state, and I haven't heard anything back from lenovo ever since.

Lol, they break your system and then charge you triple digits for the fix... best to turn auto-updates off.

Re: UEFI BIOS update 1.33 > 1.35 bricked my L460

So I've tried to update my laptop with version 1.36 and it's bricked again, in exactly the same way as before. This is stupid. I've expected that lenovo has fixed all of the issues with the updater, but apparently that's not the case. Did anyone else try to install this update?

Hello. I'm sorry to hear that.
I think it's a scandal.
My laptop has still version 1.35, and since you can not trust Lenovo, I will try to avoid updates.

Re: UEFI BIOS update 1.33 > 1.35 bricked my L460

After the motherboard of my L460 was replaced "on-site", I've successfully updated the BIOS to v1.36 without a single glitch.

Re: UEFI BIOS update 1.33 > 1.35 bricked my L460

The BIOS that came in my replacement mobo was v1.33, so I did update from v1.33 to v1.36 without any problems whatsoever. Actually, the v1.35 was dropped/pulled from the download area and isn't available anymore.

Maybe the culprit is in the v1.35 BIOS itself ?
