Video Card Problems

My system just recovered from a serious video card error. (Mobile Intel (R) 965 Express Chipset Family)

I ran the Lenovo System Toolbox check on the video card and got the following: Not supported ----- Non-local video memory test

Help?

Re: Video Card Problems

have you run a test from PC-Doctor 5 on the GPU?? what lead to this error, did you install anything or did anything?

Re: Video Card Problems

I work for an NGO in West Africa --- there was an electricity cut so I plugged my laptop into an inverter (AC-DC) and I believe that this caused the problem. I won't be plugging into that again!

I ran a diagnostic test on the video card using Lenovo system toolbox --- is that the same as PC-doctor test on GPU?

Re: Video Card Problems

when you boot into your Operating system, go into your c: drive, under DRIVER folder, there should be a subfolder called VIDEO, which contains your graphics installation file, try to reinstall it.
