Which Lenovo laptops support dual monitors?

2017-03-13, 17:09 PM

Asking this here because there isn't a general category. Which range of Lenovo laptops would support dual-monitors with least hassle? I think I'm asking which models have displayport outputs as that seems the preferred route.

The product selection system on the website doesn't allow this granularity of filtering so one would have to look through the entire range!

Thanks, Rob.

Typically all laptops will support dual monitors, but you'll need to use adapters/dongles for those laptops that are really thin and don't have a dedicated video port.

With that said, I'd suggest the ThinkPad P50, which has an abundance of video ports (HDMI, Thunderbolt, DisplayPort): http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/p-series/p50/

For something a bit thinner, there's the Legion Y520: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/legion-y-series/y520/

Or the ThinkPad T470 for something more business-type: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/t-series/t470/

These come with 1 HDMI port, and 1 USB C; which means you'll need a USB C to DisplayPort adapter. The P50 comes with all these ports in default, so you're good to go ;)
