Don't know if any of you will be able to answer this, but if I was the remove all of the lenovo software from my system (access connector, easyeject utility, etc), will an update (using lenovo update) find all of the software again (latest versions and correct operating system, etc) and allow me to install them once more?
I ask this as I have updated from windows vista to windows 7 and am having a couple of problems in regards to shutting down the computer (a 'force close' box appears every now and then, prompting me to click 'force close' before I can shutdown). I'm pretty sure this is a lenovo software problem as everyone else I know who isn't on a thinkpad does not experience this problem and I have barely any software on here apart from the updates and mozilla firefox.
Any help will be appreciated.

That's the problem, when the force close window appears the list of programs that need to be closed is blank. I'm mearly guessing that its thinkpad software because my friends with windows 7 (that don't have think* related products) have never seen this force close page.

You can look at the startup programs too....which run in the taskbar...
