Re: r51 network controller 1836 qnu

Welcome to the forum!

Your "network controller" is most likely the wireless card (Intel 2200BG) and here's the driver:

http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/6hwc05ww.zip

After downloading it, you must go into C>Drivers>Win>Wlanint and run the setup file from there.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

George

Re: r51 network controller 1836 qnu

Hi. I am having the same problem with 1829 d7u. I have downloaded every driver imaginable. When I run an unknown device finder it says it is Broadcom Corp BCM4309 802.11 a/b/g. I cannot find this anywhere. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

@vickyg:

Welcome to the forum!

If the card in your ThinkPad is indeed a Broadcom card, it must have been installed at a later date since it was never offered on a ThinkPad, hence there are no drivers for it. The original card in your machine was Intel 2200BG.

BCM 4309 card (a great one, BTW) was used extensively by Dell and HP and their drivers might work very well.

Good luck.

Cheers,

George
