Re: r61i G and H keys stop working

So how do I find out if I can replace the little white pat under the key or if I need a new keyboard?

Re: r61i G and H keys stop working

Keyboards generally aren't repairable on a componant level, but I have repaired them with parts from other broken keyboards, but I think you'll find that one of the best things about thinkpads are by the time you need replacement parts, there are huge surplus of used parts available from thousands of sellers world wide.

Many models you can get a good used keyboard shipped to you for less then $20.

If your in a jam and need it fixed  right away, sometimes you can swap parts from other less used keys, a temporary fix perhaps.
