600 & 600E Sound Problems in DOS

Hi,

I've got 2 TP laptops, one is a 600 and the other is a 600E version.

For the 600; I've installed the DOS driver and even increased the mixer settings in DOS to max, but still the sound is very very low for some reason. Is there a solution to this??

Also for the 600E, I've downloaded the DOS/WIN31 driver for it and installed it, but it doesn't work in DOS at all.

All I want is to work with some application in DOS with a good volume.

Awaiting your replies.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

Did you already tried out everything from here, even PC Doctor diagnostics?

Re: 600 & 600E Sound Problems in DOS

I second vkyr's comments.  Quite often people overlook the keyboard settings for volume control, because this feature isn't typical in desktop setups.
