Adaptive Brightness on P15s

2021-02-03, 12:06 PM

Hi,

I have a issues switching off my adaptive brightness settings on my 6 months old laptop

Note that I have read all threads on your support site, also additional resources online.

I have graphics card: Quadro p520 2GB

My Intel Graphics center (updates panel is blank) looks like this:

cannot find setting for adaptive brightness

My power options:

no-adaptive-brightness

My sensors service is stopped

everything-disabled

The only way I can GET RID OF adaptive brightness is by disabling battery driver

device-manager-battery

which as you can see is the case while I am writing this question

However, I cannot see any battery indicator anymore while driver is disabled - therefore I need proper solution

I paid premium price for my PC, and I am really expecting this to be resolved asap

Thanks for reading,

Looking forward to a reply

Hello dvox,

Welcome to Lenovo Community

I suggest that you update the BIOS and display driver to the latest version, thru the support site.
Then try disabling the adaptive brightness

Update us how it goes

Regards,
Lorenzo_Lenovo

I had the exact same problem. I had the Intel's power saving settings even before BIOS update. still the auto dimmer was active, but only when I work on battery.

It seems that Intel's power saving settings are effective only after I manually switched it on and off again.

How is it work for you so far?

It works as you say: only after manual switch in intel graphics options.

I just gave up on it.
