Two things, make sure that you have removed the clear plastic protective film over the lens, and if you are sure it has been removed, try opening and closing the "ThinkShutter" (just to the right of the camera lens to ensure that the privacy shutter it is not partially closed and throwing off the focus.

Best of luck,

Blurry Camera - ThinkPad P1 Gen3

I have the same problem with my X1 Yoga gen 5. It's the worst quality camera I've ever seen. Extremely blurry pixelation. Even in a very bright room, I look like I don't have pupils or individual teeth. Please share if you find a solution. I also had problems with my microphone not being detected. After many separate driver updates that resolved. I do wonder if the problems are related.

If the protective plastic over the lens is not the problem, then I would probably return the defective laptop to Lenovo if it is less than 30 days old, and then order a new one.

Best of luck,

Hello,

Do you have onsite support?  If so, perhaps you can call Lenovo support and have a technician come out to replace it.

Regards,

I went to the location what customer service represent gave to me so they can take a look but even to just see the camera they ask me to leave the laptop for 3 days. I talk to Lenovo support they uninstall and install the driver (Device Manger) after restart. didn't fix the issue. they told me it might be hardware issue. so i am going to replace the device.

I am having the same issue with a blurry camera. My P51 was much better and now that I have upgraded to a P1 Gen 3 the camera is blurry.

I was wondering if there was any updates on this. Did the technician resolve the issue with a replacement camera?
