Greetings and welcome new Lenovo forum user,

Try these steps.

Step 1

Right-click the bottom-left corner of the Windows Start screen.

Step 2

Click "Control Panel" and select "Uninstall a Program."

Step 3

Scroll down and select "Rescue and Recovery," then click "Uninstall."

Step 4

Click "Yes" to confirm, then wait a few seconds as your computer uninstalls the program. Restart the computer, if prompted.

Step 5

Press "Ctrl-Alt-Delete" to start the Task Manager. Click the "Services" tab.

Look for the services named "TVT Backup Service," "TVT Backup Protection Service" and "Tvtnetwk." If you don't see any of them, Rescue and Recovery was successfully uninstalled. If you do see one or more of these services, the program may not have been removed properly. Try running the uninstaller again.

Tips
  • You can also delete the backups made by Rescue and Recovery instead of removing the entire program. To do this, start the software, then click "Launch Advanced Rescue and Recovery." Click "Advanced" and "Delete Backup." The software lists backups by date, time, name and file size. Select one to remove, then click "Delete." This is useful if the backups take up too much space on your hard drive.
  • The Rescue and Recovery uninstaller is named "MsiExec.exe." If you have trouble removing the program normally, try running this uninstaller file. By default, you'll find it at C:\Program Files\Lenovo\.

And here is some information and background about Rescue and Recovery.

Also here is a helpful partition manager tool I like to use that can give you some insight into what is on hard drive.

MiniTool Partition Wizard

Edit: When you move to Win10 from Win7 the old restore will be of no use anymore.

Thank you for you help.

After step 3, I receive this error message : Error when getting the environment unit ID Rescue and recovery... (translate from french message) and it's impossible to uninstall the software and to upgrade to Windows 10...

I don't want to reset the laptop but I think it will be the best solution.
