Compatible TPM Cannot be Found

2018-09-30, 11:48 AM

I just recieved my W540 back from service center where the system board was replaced.

I am unable to turn on Bitlocker. TPM.msc shows "Compatible TPM Cannot be Found"

This was working flawlessly before; I have had Bitlocker enabled with TPM without any issues in the past. There is no "Security Chip" entry under "Security" TAB in the BIOS. The system is equipped with TPM 1.2 (as far as I know).

Some W540 motherboards have TPM chips and some do not.  My guess is that they put in the wrong part
