I want to upgrade my system to Vista!

hello!

i have W500 4062-36U

i have windows xp sp3 on it!

i want to upgrade to vista

the question is how?!.....is't ok to install the vista normally and the ThinkPad applications wont be removed or what ?!

and if they got removed...what to do?!

 

another question, will vista 64bit could run games normally ?!

and which system would you recomend me to install (xp/vista {ultimate/bussiness} {32/64 bit}) {i use the laptop for gaming watching movies and making some(on ulead video studio) and surfing and downloadingfrom the internet}

welcome to the forum!

 

once you install vista, you can download thinkvantage system update and use it to automatically install any drivers and software you may need from lenovo.

Considering to effort to upgrade and the not-so-far-in-the-future Windows 7..... Unless there is a pressing 'buisiness case' to be made, why not wait for "7"?

projected release for windows 7 is anywhere from late 2009 to mid 2010.   that's a long time to wait. ;)
