BIOS 1.31 was released and is available on Lenovo's support website. I installed it this morning.

Re:Lenovo Think Pad P1 Gen2 MISSING KEYSTROKES

I have a p53 since February this year. even though the keyboard touch action feels nice when I am typing a lot of text I really need to review what actually came trhough to the text editor. I am missing a hell of a lot of keystrokes, some letters seem to be more  affected than others. Mainly the character C needs me hammering on the keyboard to make sure it makes it trhough.

Never had this issue with previous lenovo keyboards, like p50, W541 or T410

It look like I need a keyboard replacement, even though this has been an issue since I received the TP brand new.
