Lenovo Thinkpad

2021-05-04, 13:14 PM

Hello,

We have an Issue regarding multiple Lenovo ThinkPad P52 Laptops with the ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock Type 40AN. They get a blue screen from time to time. This happens once every two weeks seemingly at random. I attached the minidump of one of these Laptops. The problem only occurs when they are in the docking station.

Every Machine shows the same warning before BSOD in the Eventlogs.

It started around New Year and we tried a couple things like re installing GPU driver, updating firmware, BIOS update, etc…..

We have also two different Laptops (Lenovo P53 Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock Gen 2 Type 40AN and Lenovo E580 with Thinkpad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Dock Type 40AF) with the same issue.

That might be connected.

Best regards

Ramon

Hello,

I do not have a ThinkPad P52 myself, but I am wondering if the internal drive might require a firmware update.

We already did that with the "Lenovo System Update" application on all of the P52 devices.

235W version?
