P50 BSOD after resume from Energy Save

2016-06-20, 15:29 PM

Hello to all,

after many issues and invisble tears with a W541 i have now a P50 with 2 SSD and 64 GB RAM and Windows 7 Prof x64.

Works fine! An amazing mobile workstation... with one issue:

After going into Energy Save a BSOD comes up on resume.

No Minidump available.

Eventlog = Kernel-Power (41) / Unexpected Shutdown detected.

Hibernate-Mode works fine.

Windows is up-to-date.

Lenovo System Update has only a new package of ShareIt" for me.

And by the way and not so important:

Is it an "anti-glare film" on the Display or a "protective layer"?

Hope someone can help me for the Energy Save Mode.

Best regards

ANdRe

Re: P50 BSOD after resume from Energy Save

I have exactly the same problem and it is very boring.

I updated ALL Drivers, but it still fails. One of them is responsible for the crash.

If I switch to "Power Options > High Performance", then it doesn't crash any more. But I have less than 2 hours autonomy. Anyway, it means, that the problem is less related to the Sleep-Mode than to some energy consumption reduction letting some driver crash.

LENOVO: PLEASE HELP!!!!! OR I WILL BUY A DELL PRECISION AND THROW THIS CRASHING P50 AWAY!!!
