P50 Hotkeys not working after Windows 10 Installation

2016-01-17, 7:04 AM

I did a clean install of Windows 10 on my ThinkPad P50 (Originally came with 7) and the hotkeys (mic mute, settings, search, etc.) on the function keys don't work. I installed most of the drivers from Lenovo's website but still no luck. Is there a specific driver that makes these keys work?

Re: P50 Hotkeys not working after Windows 10 Installation

Hi! I have similar same problems with my P50 and Windows 10 professional. The P50 came without OS and after the manual installation of Windows 10 and all drivers, the right "mic mute" key is completely without function. However the left one (Fn+F4) is working and also the indicator light of the right key turns on and off.

In addition, the "wireless off" key (Fn+F8) is not working. When i press it, the info-center on the right side opens and the mouse pointer shows that some processes are running but nothing happens.

New installation of the drivers didn't change anything.

All other hotkeys are working properly.

Hope someone knows what to do or lenovo releases a patch soon...

Cheers

Edit: After the Hotkey-Features-Integration update yesterday the Wireless-off Key is working now, but the mic mute is still without function.

Similary here, the microphone button does not mute Sype or Skype for Business.  Thought it maybe a Windows 10 Pro/Skype issue but alas no, on a t440s Windows 10pro it works just fine.   Must be a P50 specific problem.

Fixed, Skype and the mute buttons work with the latest Realtech and hotkey drivers.  6.0.1.7746 and 8.80.02 respectfully.

I have a similar problem too, my P50 had pre-installed OS. I had a problem with the HDMI port as well, wich was fixed doing some driver and firmware updates. In my case the Hotkey integration does not work with the CAPS LOCK key.

Off course I updated the HK Integration software, and dependency software but still this feature is not working.

Please let me know if you find a solution for this problem.

Thanks.
