P53 Touchscreen Not Working

2020-08-02, 19:40 PM

I don't often use it, but it's no longer working. In the Device Manger, under Human Interface Devices, the HID-compliant touch screen device is disabled (View needs to be enabled to show hidden devices). And the Wacom Device has a yellow triangle next to it. I think they are related. I tried updating the devices, but no luck.

Is there an overall setting for this somewhere that I'm not thinking about? Maybe I turned something off and forgot.

Is there a particular driver package I can try reinstalling?

Thanks!

Uninstalling the touch screen might work after a reboot. Certainly worth a try.

I also see under device specifications that it says I have no pen or touch input. Not sure yet why it thinks that. I'm wondering if a Windows update trashed the Wacom driver. I saw elsewhere something similar with the Yoga.

I did try that, the WinTab driver. No luck :( Version 7.6.2.24. Maybe I can try uninstalling the device from the window below, rebooting, and reinstall?

Screenshot attached. Might be easier to look at that.

Uninstalling device, reinstalling drivers, and then rebooting solved the issue.
