P70 M3000M Discrete Graphics does not resume correctly since W10 Creators Update

2017-06-16, 10:19 AM

I use my P70 on a Lenovo Workstation Dock in my own office with 2 external monitors , and at a client site I use 2 external monitors connected to the mini-DP port and the HDMI port on the P70.  I usually hibernate at one and resume at the other and it has always worked perfectly in both directions, in that the desktop is extended on the external monitors when it resumes. I usually do a shutdown / startup about once a week to clear out the cobwebs. So everything was great until the Windows 10 Creators update.  Now, when I resume from hibernate the external monitors do not display anything - it is as if they are not receiving any signal.  This applies to both directions i.e. hibernating on the Dock and resuming with the mini-DP and HDMI connections and vice versa.  I have to do a restart to get the external monitors to fire up and then the desktop extends as it should.

Has anyone experienced the same or similar issue?  Does anyone have any useful pointers?
