Powermgr.exe error message

2020-08-25, 23:04 PM

When I power on my P51 laptop I get a small box error message on my home screen after startup.

PowerMgr.exe

0x0000007E

The specified module could not be found.

Everything seems to be working fine.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Re:Powermgr.exe error message

Powermgr.exe is part of Lenovo Settings Power Manager, and from the message it appears that the installation is incomplete, perhaps due to a failed automatic update to the latest version.

Try the following steps to resolve.

Uninstall the existing version of Lenovo Power Manager

  • Right-Click Start and select Device Manager
  • Locate the System Devices section, and then left click on the > expand that section
  • Right-Click on Lenovo Power Manager and select Uninstall, making sure to check the box to Delete the Driver Software for this device before selecting Next.
  • Reboot the system if requested to do so.
  • Install the latest version of Lenovo Settings Power Manager for Windows 10 using the link below.

I have tried this solution but the message keeps popping when the computer starts. Everything else seems to be working fine.

Also have this problem...started today even though I did not update Windows nor hardware in the last days.

Just scanned for and installed the latest updates (a single BIOS update) and the pop up keeps showing up on system start:

"0x0000007E The specified module could not be found."

If it helps: Lenovo T470S Laptop type 20HG

Thanks in advance, looking forward to an update with bug fix.

same thing here. Deleted the driver and re-istalled it, but message keeps popping up (Thinkpad P52s).

And I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I get also the message my PC isn't loading while the cable is inserted
