Removing the anti reflective screen layer

2017-01-14, 13:29 PM

Is it possible to remove the anti reflective screen layer on the P50 4K screen? The screen in itself is bad enough but these dirty whites really has pushed me over the tipping point when the problems are combined.

Are yo usure you did not use the Pantone Color Calibrator? It completely ruined my display until I undid what was ruined by the Pantone Calibartor. I actually really like the coating on my 4K display. Completely eliminated glare from light sources.

I feel your suffering.

It was the latest and coolest thing to remove the antiglare coating mainly on desktop monitors some years ago now. But the thing is that you will get down to the front polarizer, which is affected by moisture/temperature an might dis-integrate over time, leaving you with a completely useless screen.

Glossy screens have a glossy film applied to the front polarizer sheet, just like matte screens have matte films applied. :)

Not what you were looking for, but it might help to check out the other thread regarding screen panel swaps.
