ThinkPad P70 - Lenovo Vantage does not work, not update + BSOD

good evening everyone, i have a thinkpad p70 on which after a windows 10 update in october, it is no longer able to update my laptop drivers. the last successful update was on November 19, 2020, with a list of many failed updates.

Why does this happen? Why does the LENOVO VANTAGE no longer work?
In addition, an unbearable thing also happens, that is the terrible BLUE SCREEN of WINDOWS, almost every time I turn on the laptop I have the BLUE SCREEN.
I am literally going crazy !!!!
LENOVO what are you doing?
Did I spend nearly € 5,000 to get a workstation that behaves like this and that I can't upgrade?
Please help me.

Do you have event log information or screenshot about the BSOD? And which driver/package is not in system update compared to the eSupport download?

Hi hzfdbd,

the BSOD is attached below, sometimes the percentage gets to 100% and it reboots automatically but many times it doesn't reboot anymore and I need to force shutdown.

 

Regarding driver/package i can tell you that when i start Lenovo Vantage from App or Lenovo System Update or Lenovo Update from Lenovo Site Support for my ThinkPad P70 (https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-p-series-laptops/thinkpad-p70/20er/20ercto1ww/pc0cfthm/downloads/automatic-driver-update) i always recive the same answer:

 

No driver updates are required for your machine.

No updates available. The system is up to date.

 

WRONG!!!

 

Since there are many updates available if I check the installed driver with the driver available on Lenovo media for my ThinkPad P70, it doesn't even notice that the ThinkPad BIOS is out of date, no drivers.

And this is not real.

Do you need a special Event Viewer extraction?

We will check internally if there is missing drivers in System update for this machine.

And it does not show which driver cause the BSOD in the screenshot

Usually there would be crash log in windows event logs or System Event log

but I am still stunned as to why the Enovo Vantage hasn't worked for three months and I don't see any solution, besides having the problem of not being able to update as I always did with my ThinkPad. I am attaching the RAR of three exports of the Event Viewer dated 04-05/01/2021. Day on which I also had the BSOD. Today no BSOD.

My own P70 doesn't have any problems, and it was upgraded to 20H2 back in November.  I had remained at 1909 all throughout 2020, having heard about problems with 2004. When 20H2 was released in October I decided to go with it.

 

Many of the problematic "failed" updates shown in your list are actually much older, and theoretically should have been applied well before 20H2 went in. As I said, my system was at 1909 until November 2020 and the updates which "failed" for you just recently were applied to my own 1909 system a long time ago.

I have declined to install the following "recommended" updates that I have no interest in:

 

Note that the one "failed" driver install in my own list, for Realtek audio, actually is currently at the very driver version which apparently failed to install for some reason back on 9/25/2020.

One note...

In investigating my own P70 last night, I noticed that my Windows Update was "stuck", having failed repeatedly to install KB4586876 for several weeks. The message was: "Could not complete install because an update service was shutting down".

I tried repeatedly restarting the machine and then retrying the Windows Update, but it persisted in failing.

I was going to try something a bit extreme as a way of overcoming this, until I discovered this recommended solution (by Brink, who's the admin over in TenForums). It actually is simply a link to the MS Windows Update Catalog to manually retrieve KB4586876 and apply it. Remarkably it actually manually applied successfully using this method (even though Windows Update couldn't achieve success), and that cleared up my problem!  Windows Update now shows that I'm "up to date" and with no outstanding problems or issues.

Anyway apparently I was not the only one in the world to experience this problem with KB4586876 since applying 20H2.

And it should not have impact on system update progress.

 

Also I found there some system files are missing in your . which exist in my machine.

 

event information:

Windows cannot load the extensible counter DLL "C:\WINDOWS\system32\sysmain.dll" (Win32 error code The specified module could not be found.).

 

Could you help to send the log in location below?

C:\ProgramData\Lenovo\ImController\SystemPluginData\LenovoSystemUpdatePlugin\logsAnd please check system update before you send the logs.

Thanks for the support, I am attaching the zip of the requested log. Also for a few days I have the blue screen (BSOD) even when I wake the ThinkPad after the suspension. A real disaster!!!
Thanks again to everyone and I hope to finally resolve.
P.S. Meanwhile Lenovo Vantage always tells me that there are no updates !!!
