No, I am a power user running multiple Virtual Machine (using VMWare) as the same time. I also develop programs using Visual Studio 2008 and 2010. I just wanted to have to most powerfull laptop available because this is my main computer.

I got mine because it's RAID 1 capable.

It runs Notepad quite well too.

Re: ThinkPad W700 Mini Dock 2.0

I have shop for my laptop for at least 3-4 years before commiting myself to the Lenovo W700. I have read everything on the web on similar laptop including Dell, Toshiba, HP, Alienware, etc..

My choice was made because of the reputation of Lenovo and that my 3 previous laptop were Thinkpads and because the price was right.

I had a few problems, mainly screen bleeding and spongie keyboard that was quickly resolved.

The only problem I have is the Hard Disk which is not fast enough. I am waiting for SSD price to come down and I will then upgrade.

I did not have any problem so far running multiple VM and doing a lot of things simultaneously. No crash, no errors, no nothing. Perhaps I did not stress my computer enough, but for the moment it does the job.
