[Update] P52 no sound after recovering from hibernation

2019-09-06, 20:20 PM

P52 no sound after recovering from hibernation.

HDMI sound, bluetooth headphone, through headphone jack all works.

But installed audio speaker doesn't work.

I have tried reinstall audio/realtek drivers, never solved.

Currently, reboot is the only solution.

I found temporary workaround. Device manager -> system devices -> turn off and then turn on High Definition Audio Controller.

Seems like its a Realtek driver problem, which can't be loaded correctly at waking up from sleep mode.

BTW, his driver has another problem, which is really weird: connecting Sony WH-1000XM3 bluetooth headphone, and then audio driver crashes randomly. Sometimes it keep OK for weeks, but sometiems it crashes immediately. The most suspective program triggers this is Netflix. After watching video in Netflix and turn on other sound source (Youtube for example), the audio output crashes (for specifically, the sound is like running in slow mode, with high latency, and the video becames lagging too, just with audio's tempo.) No other headphone or audio speaker can cause this, except sony WH-1000XM3. Whenever this happened, the High Definition Audio Controller I mentioned above turned into yellow warning icon, and the workaround for this is : either re-connect Sony WH-1000XM3 headphone (not always work) or reinstall realtek audio driver. I guess the audio driver conflicts with bluetooth driver.
