My order has a W510, Adobe CS4, and AC Adapter.  Placed on 1/29.

Original Estimated Ship Date on the W510 and Software was 2/8.  The AC Adapter said 2/12.

Which one do you think shipped early?  Of course, the adapter on 2/4.

On 2/8 the software changed to 2/16 and the laptop 3/1.

On 2/16 the software changed again to 3/1.  Really?  This software is available everywhere, I don't see how it could be delayed to 3/1.  What excuse can be given in this situation...waiting on a component?  :)  This software delay makes you realize just how flawed the ordering process really is.  I know this seems obvious, but it's easy to get caught up in excuses regarding delays based on parts not coming in for the system on order.  (I would cancel this item, but who knows what that will do to my order.)

Of course I called and now I'm in "Priority" status and it "could" ship out earlier than 3/1.  Sound familiar to anyone else?  It should be interesting to see what happens on 3/1.  Can't wait to see what date it shifts to.

Trust me, if it ships early or even on 3/1, I'll be happy to come back here and eat my words.

I'm currently searching for a replacement to this laptop.  If I can find the right config, I'll cancel this order.

For now, at least I can sit here and enjoy my AC Adapter!  :)

I ordered W510 Multi Touch on 10th January and the shipment was confirmed for 15th Feb.

However, on 15th Feb, Lenovo quietly changed the shipping date to 12th March.   This is ridiculous!!!!!

On Lenovo website, the shipping date for this product is stated as "18 business days".   Maybe Lenovo does not know the meaning of "18 business days" because even after almost 1.5 months since my order, shipment is still awaited.

WILL LENOVO STOP THIS NONSENSE?????????

LENOVO:  WHEN ARE YOU SHIPPING??????

I placed two lenovo W510.....the slowest shipping and order processing service I had ever had.... I just wonder if the order status is in process, do i need to pay the restocking fee to cancel both of my orders. My bro ordered a dell alienware two days after I placed my first order.... he got his laptop last week...What a shame!!

Ahh...free at last!  I just canceled my order.  I cannot do business with a company like this.  I feel really sorry for people placing new orders.  They just have no clue what they're in store for.  The Estimated Shipping Dates currently on the site are no where near accurate, based upon my experience and others on this forum.

What really worried me was the way support issues were handled, after reading ConsumerAffairs.com (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/computers/lenovo.html).  Shipping delays are one thing, but when you actually get the system and run into a problem, then are treated in the same manner as we have been in the shipping process, that is really scary.

A company that doesn't seem to care about their clients is not someone I want to do business with.  I'm sure a lot of other companys have a long list of complaints as well, but I've bought from many in the past and never seen anything like this before right from the get-go.

Do you think your shipping issue is just a recent thing?  Maybe a delay on a part, etc.  Read below:

"am probably repeating the tale of woe that many Z60m and Z60t buyers have told. I ordered my z60m on December 5. Originally, the salesman told me he expected it to ship by early January. It remained in the limbo of "Packing" for over a month. Finally, in early January I got an email saying it would ship by January 16. About one week later I got an email saying it would ship January 31. The estimated shipping date on the order status website stayed at January 31 for several days, bounced back to January 25, and then back to the 31st. Today, January 26, I checked the website and it said February 16! That's 2 1/2 months from the date of order, which is ridiculous! By the time this computer gets to me, it will be obsoleted by Intel Duo Core computers. I am ready to cancel the order and send back the case and extra memory they sent me over a month ago.

Hey, Lenovo, when you're finally ready to make some Z60m's, let me know. Maybe I'll be interested, but your credibility has suffered badly. "

This was posted back on January 2006.  Speaks for itself!

Good luck to all of you...I hope your orders / systems work out ok!

I sincerely hope that someone from Lenovo is reading this.  More specifically, I hope someone from Lenovo who can do something about it is reading this.

Does anyone at Lenovo do anything other than apologize for your customer service or rather lack of customer service.

I ordered a W510 on 2/5/10.  At the time I ordered the Lenovo site was advertising that they could configure and ship within 9 business days.  My original estimated ship date was 2/15/10.  I actually called on 2/15/10 and was assured my W510 would ship sometime that week.

On 2/16/10, the ship date changed to 3/9/10.  Concerened, I called and at first was told that there would be a delay.  When I expressed frustration over this the voice on the other end asked me to hold.  When he came back, I was assured once again that my system would ship "this week".  That was last week... my system still has not shipped.  I am, however, the proud owner of a new laptop bag and a bluetooth mouse.  So, I can sit and pretend to work on my new laptop.

Today the site is advertising 11 business days to ship.  Yep, you guessed it that would be 3/9/10.  So, I could've waited and ordered today and received the same estimated ship date.

HEY LENOVO are you hearing this???  This is false advertising.  If you can't deliver in 9 days or 11 days.... DON'T ADVERTISE that you can.  We can handle waiting... but at least be honest about it.  We can't handle being lied to.

I work in the IT department of a manufacturing company.  I can tell you that if we missed ship dates as badly as Lenovo does, we'd be out of business in a very short time.

I think Lenovo is doing a pretty good job recently.

I ordered my W510 on Feb 16 and got my shipment notification on Feb 19th (3 days later), that could be my config is in stock, so it didn't take long to ship it out.

Today is Feb 23, I called Lenovo and got my tracking number, it's "in transit" and already released by the custom. Hopefully I could get it this week.

So from the day I placed my order Feb 16 to now, it's just a week (includes weekend).

I ordered T400s earlier this year, it took longer than my W510, but this time is very quick.
